The Calm Before the Storm

The camera fades in on +FCC+ Thor sitting quietly in his locker room, leaning on his knees. He looks up as his door clicks open, his pensive face unchanged. Ben walks over with his microphone and sits beside Thor. He clears his throat.

Ben: Thor, I'm sure that you realize the repercussions of your match tonight. If you lose, you will no longer be TCW Heavyweight Champion. If that happens, what are you going to do?

+FCC+ Thor looks over to Ben, then looks straight ahead and wipes his face. He breathes out a sigh.

+FCC+ Thor: Look, there's one thing that I know for certain, it's that Darren Orion will not be winning my belt. He will remain in limbo for the rest of his career not knowing how to reach the top if I have anything to do about it. Tonight is going to be the start of that. If he believes for one second that I'm going to be defeated by some egotistical, maniacal, half-wit jerk, then he's got another thing coming. I've been preparing since we started this season for "The Star" of TCW. I'm ready for everything he's going to deliver. Right now... I just need to relax. I need to be calm and collected before I enter that ring.

Ben: But you didn't answer my question... what if you lose?

+FCC+ Thor looks at Ben with the utmost serious face he can muster.

+FCC+ Thor: Then I will never again attempt to become the Heavyweight Champion. Ever.

The camera zooms in slowly on Thor's face as it fades back to the ring.
